This policy explains what data InvoicePDF collects, how we use it, and who we share it with.

1. Information We Collect

When you use InvoicePDF, we collect and process the following types of information:

• Account information: your email address, and your name and profile image if you sign in with Google
• Invoice data you input into our system, including details about your clients. Saved invoices and templates are stored on our servers; drafts in the editor are also kept in your browser's local storage so your work is not lost
• Purchase information: your email address and a Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never received or stored by us
• Session and security information: sign-in tokens, IP address, and browser user agent
• Usage information and analytics about how the site is used

If you enter another person's details on an invoice, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our invoice generation service
• Process your requests and generate PDFs
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure, including sending one-time sign-in codes
• Process your purchase and link lifetime access to your email address
• Send important notifications about our service
• Analyze and improve our platform's performance

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not use your invoice content to train machine learning models.

3. Service Providers and Disclosure

We do not sell or trade your personal data. We do share it with a small set of service providers who process it on our behalf so the Service can operate:

• Stripe: payment processing and customer records
• Resend: delivery of sign-in codes and service emails
• Google: optional sign-in, if you choose it
• Vercel: application hosting and privacy-friendly usage analytics
• Our database provider: storage of your account, invoices, and templates

These providers may store or process data on servers outside Singapore, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected when they do. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account, invoices, and templates for as long as your account is active, so that your lifetime access and invoice history remain available. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. You can clear locally stored drafts at any time by clearing your browser data.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and passwordless sign-in with expiring one-time codes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to protect against abuse. We also use Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregated usage data without cookies or cross-site tracking. Your invoice drafts are held in your browser's local storage on your own device.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
• Delete your account and your data
• Stop using your data, though this may mean we can no longer provide the Service to you

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
